North Carolina boater education information
North Carolina currently requires a boater education card from anyone born after Dec. 31, 1987, who operates a boat or personal watercraft of 10 hp or more in North Carolina.
Additionally, many insurance agencies offer a boat insurance discount for all boaters who have taken a boating safety course.
