Texas boater education information
Texas currently requires a boater education card from anyone born after Aug. 31, 1993, who operates a boat over 15 hp, a personal watercraft, or a sailboat over 14 feet long.
Additionally, many insurance agencies offer a boat insurance discount for all boaters who have taken a boating safety course.
Texas boating license updates
Texas does not currently require a boating license.
