Colorado boater education requirements
Colorado currently requires a boater education card from persons 14 or 15 years old who operate a motorized vessel in Colorado state waters. People younger than 14 may not operate a boat in Colorado.
Additionally, many insurance agencies offer a boat insurance discount for older boaters who have taken a boating safety course.
Colorado boating license updates
Colorado does not currently require a boating license.
