Tennessee boater education information
Tennessee currently requires a boater education card from anyone born after Jan. 1, 1989, who operates a motorized vessel over 8.5 hp in Tennessee.
Additionally, many insurance agencies offer a boat insurance discount for all boaters who have taken a boating safety course.
