Captain Ray reporting at the La Paz desk on behalf of All Things Boat

Hello friends and enemies and people who would sell me out for a dollar….

Hello friends,

As some of you know, I am maintaining this site and keeping it going. This is something to keep me busy while I figure out how the heck to get out of La Paz. I spent the past few years living on a boat in the inner harbor of Cabo San Lucas. This was nice but it meant that every time I walked along the marina, somebody would try to sell me cigars, fake silver necklaces or a fishing trip.

Long story short, I left Cabo and I moved a few hours away to La Paz.

La Paz is quiet but that suits me fine.

I am living on anchor in La Paz harbor. If you know what that entails, then you won’t necessarily be jealous of me, or perhaps you will.

Honestly, some days this is paradise and other days it is the opposite end of the spectrum.

I’ve just sold my old boat and bought a new boat.

The new boat is not quite what I was hoping for. But she’ll do.

I paddle my dinghy into shore each evening and eat tacos. I also roller-blade along the esplanade.

The city of La Paz rebuilt the boardwalk last year, and it is now smooth as silk.

Say what you will about roller-blades but these things keep me in shape and get me around town.

I have so much more to say, but I will leave that for my next post.

Yours in peace…

Captain Ray
